Temuduga @ Ujidanduga

2.45pm Bilik Mesyuarat Pendaftar

Berat kaki melangkah. Tapi masuk jugak lah. Dah penat2 apply, dah gi exam. Ape salah nye 'test market'.

4 panel. 1 steno... 2 bersuara. 3 lagi diam saje.

Yang JUSA membuka bicara. "We conduct this interview in english. Walaupun saya soal dlm melayu, u mesti jawab english."

Ok paham...

(setelah dipendek-pendekkan ni kisah nye..)

JUSA : U background accounting. kenape u mintak HR/admin. Kenape xmintak jadi pegawai akaun ke, akauntan ke,... u minat ke x ni, atau saje2 mintak.

Aku : Accounting is universal. I learned account bcoz its a need. necessity. Even engineer, doctor must hv basic accounting knowledge. Because nowadays evrything is money. When we hv money we hv to manage them/be accountable. This is my opinion je. (alamak. ade 'je'). In accounting courses i also gain knowledge of management, OB(organiztnl bhviour), HR and so on.

2nd officer : Abis tu u tak rase rugi ke belajar akaun tapi kat sini buat admin/HR. Ape strength awak nak mintak jawatan ni.

Aku : I have a never give up mentality and i am capable to work under pressure bla bla bla... As i mention b4, i study account bcoz i hv to. (xpaham2 dorang ni). (20saat aku diam.pikir) Plus, in future if i own an audit firm i already have financial skill and social skill (i experienced here) to communicate with my subordinates.

2nd officer : Mcm mane ni. u mintak pegawai tadbir tapi u nak bukak audit firm plak.

Aku : (abis tu xkan aku nak rely on govt je sampai tua. xkan dah pencen nak duk diam kat umah je membiakkan sel2 kanser. Korang lain la gaji dah riban2.) aku ckp dalam ati. Aku xjawab soalan tu. aku sengih je.

JUSA : Ridzuan.. Ridzuan.. u nak jadi pembantu tadbir ke pegawai tadbir ni..

TAMAT.

Memang tugas dorang untuk provoke habis-habisan. Semua akan rasa macam 'dimalukan' kat dalam tu. Normal. Dia nak tengok macam mane kite handle situasi2 genting and be decisive, rigid dalam memberi pendapat. Poyo mesti ade. hehe.

Aku kesian kat senior2 je. ChiefClerk2, kerani2. 7 kali dah interview post sama yang aku mintak ni. 7 kali la jugak mengusung sijil2 degree yang dah 'karat' masuk interview. Tapi xdapat2. Padahal pengalaman sukar dihitung. 15 tahun++ keje. At last sape yang slalu dapat? xpela. rezeki masing2..

Tapi kesian gak tengok pegawai-pegawai muda, kurang pengalaman, tapi tanggungjwb besar, mesti kne ade high diplomacy skill. klau x mcm mane orang nak respect.nak dengar arahan. Orang lg menyampah ade la..

Mana lagi diutamakan. Didahulukan. Academic qualification or experience?

ermmm to me,it's depends.
for youngster,like me yg bru stahun grad.to me i think academic qualification tu penting since that my working experience is only my practical training.
tp yg mcm org2 yg agak berumur.tetibe decided want to change to new working environment.mase nie working experience plak sepatutnye dititikberatkan.sbb level of educations everyday being updated.so maybe yg diorg belajar kite xbelajar n ape yg kite belajar diorg xbelajar.does it make sense?
n biasenye employers need a younger workers.sbb blh buli abis2 kan.sbb kite ape tau.nk demand pn skit2.
so ape yg saya rase,dua2 important in different situations.
tp itu pendapat saya sahaja...

mapei...ntah diorang faham kau speaking ntah tak tue..interviewer tue poyoz jer.. nak tunjuk lagak...sebab diorang rasa diorang bagus...
tapi it's good for you mapei... good experience...don't give up!
btw, for me experience is important.. but, it must be supported with academic qualification..if u've both of it, u can build up ur career..don't wory mapei... usaha tangga kejayaan.
